Every year, Middlesbrough’s kit release always throws up debate as fans offer up their take on a fresh new look for a new season.
It’s certainly a unique look but it’s not the first time Boro have sported a bold look, with the Transporter featuring prominently on the club’s 1994/95 home shirt.
After putting out a tweet to ask for the fans thoughts, this is how they reacted to Boro’s new look for the 2021/22 Championship season…
I will take that over a generic one strip fits all design that we used to get from Adidas but I just do not like the white band.

A good shirt and a great opportunity to put the Tees Transporter Bridge in the shop window locally and nationally. Nice combination of football and industrial heritage – pillars of Teesside identity!

Take out the 32 Red bit and it would be even better.

I’d be interested to see if they could have made the chevrons on the sleeves from parts of the bridge rather than overloading the design with what looks like a standard clipart version of the bridge…

Like it, touch of class with the Transporter in it, UTB ⚽💪

The more I look at it, the more I like it. Got the preorder in. So look forward to it arriving.

I do quite like it actually – different take on a Boro shirt and why not. One main transporter detail wouldn’t been enough for me but it’s ordered and I’m looking forward to it arriving!

Not a massive fan but I’ll buy it. Anything with my favourite bridge on gets my vote
