A NEWLY opened fine dining restaurant has unveiled a ‘spectacular menu’ – with an enormous eight courses on offer.
Claiming to be Sunderland’s first such restaurant, Undisclosed in the city centre has unveiled the challenging menu just weeks after opening its doors.
Located in the former D’Acqua restaurant on John Street is headed by top chef, Chris Spence who recently returned to the region after serving food across the globe.
It comes after years of working at restaurants in America, Australia, Hungary and France, where he has built up quite the name.

And now bringing some of that experience back to the region, he has unveiled the eight-course tasting menu.
According to Undisclosed, the menu starts with an amuse bouche of celeriac velouté and wild mushrooms.
This is followed by a beetroot and apple terrine served with picked apple, candied beets and an apple gel.
The courses then move to a wood pigeon with dark chocolate and pickled raspberries is followed by – turbot – with horseradish, bone marrow, parsley, caviar and baby leeks.

Meanwhile those taking them up on the offer will be served two desserts – a panna cotta and white chocolate mousse and a rhubarb and ginger tart comprising compressed rhubarb, ginger cheesecake and a rhubarb gel.
Mr Spence said: “I’ve used some of my favourite ingredients to create a menu which brings together a number of very different but equally amazing flavours.
“It’s given me a real opportunity to show what I like to do best and we’re looking forward to even more people coming along to enjoy it.”
The eight course menu starts at £75 per person with the wine pairing costing an additional £55.
