Police SWAT teams respond to Atlanta mall after reports of shooting and one person is taken to hospital

Police responded in force to an Atlanta-area mall on Thursday afternoon where one person was shot and seven taken into police custody, according to a report from WSB-TV.
About 20 rounds were fired between two groups of people, police said. No deaths were reported.
Multiple ambulances and police vehicles rushed to the Southlake Mall in Morrow, Georgia on Thursday at about 3pm.
Unverified witness reports suggested that a group of young males were involved in a dispute inside the mall that spilled into the parking lot, and that one or more of them pulled out a gun and began firing.
At least one suspect was seen being taken into police custody, and at least one victim was seen being medically transported.

Witnesses told WSB-TV that they believed there had been a shooting in the mall.
One witness told WAGA-TV reporter Eric Perry that a large group of teens were fighting before gunfire erupted.
A large section of the mall’s parking lot was sealed off with police tape, and it was unclear if the apparent shooting occurred inside or outside the facility.
One witness inside the mall said an incident took place inside of Macy’s and perhaps spilled over into the parking area, according to WGCL-TV.
Stores inside the mall were all placed on lockdown.
A Twitter user whose office is near the mall’s parking lot said she had seen three to four ambulances leaving the scene, even as more arrived.
‘Cops are everywhere,’ she added.

Facebook user Colby Price went live with video showing a large emergency response and police perimeter formed around the mall.
He shared word from the scene that ‘a bunch of young dudes’ had been ‘pulling out guns in the mall.’ At least one male was seen being taken into custody in the video.
Heavily armed SWAT team members were also spotted entering the mall.
The Clayton County Police Department confirmed to DailyMail.com that it had responded to the incident as an assisting agency.
CCPD said that the Morrow Police Department was leading the response and referred all further inquiries to that department.
Morrow’s police department does not appear to have a public information officer, and Interim Police Chief Bobby Mosteller did not immediately respond to a message seeking further information.
